Summary/Abstract: The output of sport in talent identification is very wide. It results from the fact that only best sport performers determine the competitive advantage of some sport clubs over others. In comparison to other areas sport is very specific, because it takes very long time between the identification of a talent and becoming a professional performer. In most cases this process starts among children and the effective system of talent development is needed. It is proved that the child environment such as family, school and community, apart from social, economic and political institutions can help to develop a talent. Retrospective research with elite performers over the last 30 years has revealed the importance of, especially, parental support for the development of expertise. The author puts the thesis that the system of developing talent among young football players needs the involvement of parents, but also teachers, club and local government representatives and cooperation among these people supported by institutional mechanisms (by school, club and local government) . This article shows the results of his pilot studies.
