The Morbid Discourse: Bulgarian Interpretations. The Case of P. P. Slaveykov

Summary/Abstract: The initial incentive for the writing of this text came from some modern concepts, found in academic literature, relative to the role of illness in Slaveykov’s life and works. In continuing this line of productive "reading“ of Slaveykov, this article focuses on his texts in terms of the complex array of "uses“ of morbidity that are played out in them.
