Summary/Abstract: It is our custom to present unknown Polish and Polish-related daguerreotypes in our magazine. This time we are presenting two daguerreotypes that appeared at the 7th Auction of “Fotografia Kolekcjonerska” (Collectible Photography) organized by the Rempex Auction House in Warsaw in April 2011. Both come from the studio of Carl Friedrich Damme, a German daguerreotypist who worked in Gdansk. One of them, dating from 1852, shows an elderly (Polish) woman of the name of M. Bielau and the other, dating from 1849, shows/portrays a slightly younger, unidentified woman.
