Function of Subject of Communication in Interculturation - Borders of Postmodernism

Summary/Abstract: The author reacts critically to radical culture relativism of postmodernism which generalize the terms “relativity” and “heterogeneity of cultures” with their “incommensurability”; mutual “impossibility to overlap“. The author reminds ontological untenability of generalization of the term “relativity” against the term “unity” and emphasizes function of common matter of communication between different cultural communities. Commensurability of some parts of cultural, value systems and value consensus as well is formed by matter of communication. The author emphasizes importance of electronic media in inter-culturation.
