Summary/Abstract: Social role and social significance of the museum are of crucial importance for its future. Traditional museums are ignoring the current social situation, and do not reflect the actual social contradictions. Specifically, the social significance of traditional museum was reduced to only deal with the past, that their role is reduced to the collection, study and presentation of items that are (only) dealing with the past. The term interactive museum means of the museum which communicates with today's people and communities, their needs and interests, presenting the media to exchange ideas. An interactive museum, not indulging trends and elites, trying to reflect critically on current social issues. If it wants to overcome the crisis, the museum has to become a training ground for discussion on current social processes and antagonisms. The museum needs to serve the present and the present real-life man and his community.
