Summary/Abstract: At the beginning of 2008 the Pew Internet and American Life Project published a research which shows that Genereation Y (18—30) is the one generation that is coming back to libraries for information more than any other age group. In the end of this report it is stated that libraries should work on a better understanding why their patrons would use them. Web 2.0 and Library 2.0 have brought lots of novelty for the networked world in general but for libraries as well. How much are BiH libraries, museums and archives capable to respond to the challenges put before them by the generation Y? It is my opinion they are. My intention is to show some of the possibilities of the networked world that these institutions could use in their promotion as well as development of new services for their users.
