Summary/Abstract: The article provides an overview of the interpretation of the "freedom" concept in Russian philosophy, history and philology. The peculiarities of the understanding of this concept in the poetry of Russian rock based on a study of contextual semantics of the concept "freedom", a comparative analysis with data dictionaries, and psycholinguistic experiments.
