Summary/Abstract: The close connection of the bilateral co-operation of the successor states of Czechoslovakia to their accession goals determined the clear European dimension of Czech-Slovak relations from 1998-2002. These relations will be enhanced and deepened providing the environment favorable for their successful accession to European and trans-Atlantic structures. Both processes - integrationist and bilateral co-operation - are inteconnected and conditioned to each other. The Schengen system, for example, will really, not just theoretically, promote the exclusive and above-standard Czech-Slovak relations.
