Application of probability response curves to the evaluation of changes in the probability of using trade credit discount by small enterprises

Summary/Abstract: The aim of the paper is to evaluate the changes in the probability of discount use in trade credit by small entities. The starting point for the research was the thesis that trade credit cost and a fact of calculating this cost by the borrower had the greatest impact on the probability. The study was made in a frame of logit regression model. It concerned the finan¬cial data of the year 2005 which included the group of 368 small enterprises. An evaluation of the changes in probability was based on the analysis of probability response curves.
