Summary/Abstract: The article presents the essence of factoring and its significance for enterprises in modern economy and its basic kinds. The paper depicts factoring as one of the ways on the adjustment of liquidity in an enterprise and describes the main advantages and drawbacks of application of factoring as well as it shows Polish factoring market.
