Summary/Abstract: The prose Co nejvíce šedé by Věra linhartová enables to illustrate hypertrophy of domesticating tick of literature as its essential feature. In this story we can see an inversion of scenery and a character. The scenery ceases to be an external framework in which the characters are enjoying their dramas – but rather the character becomes his own perspective of the scenery. That way an illusion of scenery externality is disturbed: instead of being something external it becomes a projection of the character. Thus occurs radicalization of anthropomorphic feature of narration – from now on everything is the work of the character (narrator): narrator does not allow anyone else to speak. Then any signs of exteriority mean some narrative strategy which is hidden by the narrator. That is why the narrator enhances his power. As for the story Co nejvíce šedé, we can find further than its probable basis in one Flammarion´s fiction concerning a report about balloon travel Pointing out Flammarion we can not only overthrow esotericism of Věra Linhartová´s manuscript but also point out to more legible and hence more radical reflection of anthropomorphic metaphors. moreover, this reflection can be reminding of essential feature of narration (narration as some version of solipsism) which is often overlooked in the classical narratology (Bremond, Greimas...). Those reflections can refer to our fundamental experience with literature – before it is captured (engulfed) by literary criticism.
