Summary/Abstract: The ideas rendered in the works with regard to the social and political structure of the Northern –Danubian communities, such as the ethnical identity- whether at the end of the 17-th century, the beginning of the 18-th century or during the modern epoch – surprisingly coincide; Dimitrie Cantemir worked less over those principles, yet, his ideas have been confirmed by recent research, through written documents and archeological sources.
