Liability insurance of companies introducing electrical and electronic equipment

Summary/Abstract: In accordance with EU Directive 2002/96/EC, states have the duty to collect, retrieve, recycle and manage the waste recovered. In line with this obligation there is liability insurance of a company introducing electrical and electronic equipment. The articles discuss legal status and its changes in waste management as well as the present scale of enterprises involved in the introduction of electric and electronic equipment. We discuss the construction of liability, its insurance, pros and cons, and make an attempt to calculate the contribution rate.
