Summary/Abstract: This article with twofold research (researching the teaching plan and program and analysing the actual pedagogical practice) attempts to answer a number of questions and issues. It reveals the proportionality of various fields of the Islamic religious studies that have been included by the teaching plan and program in the textbooks and it offers answers and the viewpoint of the main actors of the teaching process concerning optimality of above mentioned proportionality. The results and conclusions of the research do not have an aim to discredit the present condition but to point out the fact that upbringing and education is a very dynamic process that demands permanent learning and revisions.
