Summary/Abstract: Finite Subordinate Clauses Revisited. This paper offers a synthesis of the essential features that characterise the three main categories of finite subordinate clauses in English syntax, as well as an outline of a newly designed framework of analysis for that special type of adverbial clause known as the adverbial clause of comparison.
