Summary/Abstract: The paper considers an assemblage of Early Incised and Excised Ninevite 5 pottery from Tell Arbid. It focuses on the vessels’ decoration, its basic elements and complex designs. Their relation to the vessels’ shape is discussed with some reference to wares and context of the ceramic material. The relation of this assemblage to the Early Incised and Excised Ninevite 5 pottery from other archaeological sites in Syria and Iraq is also mentioned.
