Language of the Youth from Zaolzie in the Internet

Summary/Abstract: The aim of the paper is to describe Internet texts produced by the youth from Zaolzie in Czech Republic. The texts are written in the local dialect but they show close dependence on Czech literary language and sometimes on Polish. Their most important feature is that they are spontaneous and their authors do not have linguistic knowledge. Therefore, they try to write in the dialect but they cannot distinguish the Czech language from the Silesian dialect. Therefore, many Czech linguistic features appear in the texts. Most of them are lexical, phraseological and syntactical borrowings which are subject to regular phonetic and morphological adaptation.
