Summary/Abstract: The object of this article is the issue of local effects as the determinants of the agglo- and deglomeration determinations of the settlement and economic activity in cities. The review of these effects contains all theirs types. The effects were separately discussed as external advantages disadvantages. It was assumed that the advantages are the agglomeration determinants and the disadvantages are the limits or even the barriers if this process. All this content is addressed mainly to self-government environments to make use of local and regional policy development of the cities, especially neglected in the south-east part of the country. Moreover, these materials may be used for educational purpose.
