THE RELATIONSHIP OF THE CONSISTORY FROM ORADEA WITH THE ECCLESIASTICAL ORGANISMS FROM THE ORTHODOX METROPOLITANATE IN TRANSYLVANIA

Summary/Abstract: The Relationship of the Consistory from Oradea with the Ecclesiastical Organisms from the Orthodox Metropolitanate in Transylvania. This study aims at pointing out the relationship of the Orthodox Consistory from Oradea with the other ecclesiastical organisms of the Metropolitanate of Transylvania. The relationship between the consistory from Oradea and the bishopric from Arad was more at the level of the diocesan synod. The difference of vision regarding the problems of the ecclesiastical administration, as well as regarding the political affinities, underlined the existence of two separate groups. Nevertheless, the cooperation inside commissions made the members of this organism to understand better the fact that the interest of the Church and, not least, the national interest, surpasses any obstacles. The involvement of the citizens of Oradea in the sessions of the National Church Congress was an obvious fact for years. Even if their vision was not different to that of the other deputies, the solutions proposed to the problems of the Church were, most of the times, pragmatic ones, realist ones and, as a consequence, accepted by the Congress.
