Summary/Abstract: Österreichisches Staatsarchiv of Vienna have several documents regarding the donations made by the rulers of Moldavia to The Great Hermitage Monastery of Maniava. These four documents are very important for the history of the Orthodox church of the Eastern Europe from the early 17th and 18th centuries. Its give us valuable informations about the donations made by some of the princes of Moldavia to the Orthodox church from the Catholic Poland. Three of them are about the reinforcement of the rights of The Great Hermitage’s monks, which allowed them to have the tithe from the crops of the estate of Cernăuţi. The forth document tell us about a princely act, which confirmed the right of this monastery regarding the estates of Mămăieşti and Mitcău from Cernăuţi county. All these documents had been verified and translated from Latin to Romanian by Mrs. Claudia Tărnăuceanu and we are very grateful for her efforts.
