They Have Come Together… They Are Living Together (Aspects of Family and Marriage)

Summary/Abstract: The article makes an attempt to present the state of the family and of marriage in two small towns of the Rhodopes (Devin and Yakoruda) in the 1990s. The basic objective and subjective factors have been considered, influencing the natural growth rate, development and interrelations between the generations in the family, the public attitude to divorce. Attention has also been given to unwedded cohabitation as an alternative of the family.
