Summary/Abstract: Mobbing is a phenomenon which appears in the education sector. This thesis is confirmed by previous studies conducted in European countries. The main goal of the paper is to analyse the mobbing phenomenon among teachers, especially its range and factors determining it (four types of organisational cultures). An analysis was made on the basis of two standardised questionnaires (NAQ and OCAI) and the answers of 846 teachers. A statistical analysis was made with 633 questionnaires. The results showed that 3.6% of the respondents are victims of mobbing. The analysis showed that cultures such as “the clan” and “the adhocracy” are the factors which may minimize the occurrence of mobbing. At the same time, cultures such as “the market” and “the hierarchy” may cause that people are more exposed to mobbing at work.
