Summary/Abstract: Although the experiential education has its rich history in the United States of America and Great Britain, it is relatively obscure in Poland. There are some assumptions in this theory which have to be billed. Most of all: group exercises, mostly on location, which involve some kind of challenge or adventure and are taken for some purpose. There is also requested an experienced trainer who presides over the group. In the face of an increasingly expanding problem of the physical passivity mainly among children and teenagers, those exercises which are organised according to the rules of experiential education could become an alternative to the physical passivity and, most of all, get over many precious educational meanings to prepare them to manage with often difficult living situations. As a matter of fact, the experiential education could also be used as a backing to sociotherapy, which has already been exerted by some Polish non-governmental organizations and could also be the chance for fast advancement in this field.
