Summary/Abstract: In this paper are presented the results of a study carried out on a assemblage of lithic materials coming from the tomb VII of the “domus de janas” necropolis at Montessu (Villaperuccio, Sardinia, Italy): they are tools belonging to different typologies, identified in other Sardinian contexts of the same kind and interpreted as object meant to dig the hypogea they’ve been found in. Such classes of materials in the island appear, probably, towards the end of Neolithic, but there is evidence that they have been used during the ensuing Aeneolithic age too.
