Summary/Abstract: Author of the study analyzes two czech proses (Hrdý Budžes by I. Dousková, 1998, and Dlouhá kakaová řasa by J. Formánek, 1999) to describe different possibilities of stylistic imitation of an infant narrator. Authors of prosaic texts either use language simulating common unprepared speech or intentionally choose correct and standard ways of expressing. Both mthods – combined with pretended misinterpretation of historical events – lead to the same esult: narrator’s speech becomes comic.
