Summary/Abstract: Presents a synthetic overwiev about the influence of national socialism on the professional associations, meetings and publications of transylvanian-saxon teachers. In the period between 1920 and 1933, no direct national-socialist influence can be found. From 1933 to 1935, the evolution in Nazi Germany was observed with interst, trying in the same time to keep nazi influences out. The time from 1935 to 1939 saw the rapprochement and eventually adoption of the positions of a (so called "moderate") current of the "Erneuerungsbewegung". From 1939 to 1942 the "Gleichschaltung" (enforced conformity) was realised. The "Deutsche Volksgruppe" (german ethnic group) controlled all spheres of the school. A majority of teachers accepted the national-socialist influence not for ideological, but for practical reasons, assuming that finally important goals could be achieved that had not been realised in the interwar period.
