The quality of governance in the conditions of the crisis

Summary/Abstract: This article aims to identify the impact of governance quality on the economic situation of EU countries during the economic crisis. The analysis concerns the effectiveness indicator published by the World Bank and welfare state indicators. The background for the statistical analyzes are the theoretical considerations on the relation between the quality of governance and economic development and also a review of previous research in this area.
