Summary/Abstract: Delinquency determines a reaction of the members of society who relate to social values. Although many institutions have been mobilized into the process of recovery, resocialization, reintegration, reconversion and re-education, the crime rate is high. The role of the social assistant is to work as a probation counsellor, who intervenes in the trial, promoting alternatives to detention and intervening when he is solicited.
