Summary/Abstract: One of the “characteristic parameters” dividing up analytical and Continental philosophizing is the interpretation of the concepts of “reality” and “the world”. The paper offers an analysis of this characteristic parameter with regard to the relations between epistemologically centred and hermeneutically oriented doctrines of realism.
