Summary/Abstract: Azem Shkreli, eminent Albanian poet, through the word, not on-ly attempts to return in existence of this world, but at the same time, with its assistance, attempts to have influence in this world. In the poetry of Azem Shkreli come across three courses from those ideological, to the ones from folk philosophy, to biblical courses. In the beginning of his compositions poet moves in bright sides of the words, enfolding their strength to move social processes. And, while in Albanian ballad word wakes up the one from grave, in Shkre-lis’ poetry it moves mountains. Here the word is primal: when it beco-mes materialized, interlock within itself the strength propelling the world. In his later poems the poet moves on negative area of words, when they become prohibitive or obstructive of these processes. Thro-ugh it the reader sees off the inner drama of the poet in time and space. For the poet alpha and omega of this world is word and it could be said, rightfully, that this poet is considered by critic a scarce master of the word in Albanian letters.
