Summary/Abstract: The aim of this study is to define Turkish language and literature teachers’ opinions on the 2005 Turkish Literature Curriculum. This study is a qualitative research and survey method was carried out. For this study during 2010-2011 education year 36 randomly chosen Turkish language and literature teachers from 17 different high schools in the province of Trabzon were interviewed. According to the results of this study, Turkish language and literature teachers generally approve the new Turkish Literature Teaching Programme; however, since the class environment as stated by the programme was unobtainable, they think that the programme is not applicable. The teachers also stated that they had not been given enough information about the programme.
