Summary/Abstract: What is the main task of the Soviet futurology? - was asked from Radio Yerevan. To reliably predict our past - was the answer. This once very popular Radio Yerevan existed only in the jokes in Hungary. But the author's opinion is that this joke can be adapted to the debates about lustration law lasting since 15 years in Hungary. Having been in progress since 1996, we can now conclude about the lustration process that it has delivered very little result. One of the reasons for this failure is that several fundamental issues have remained open.
