Summary/Abstract: Due to its strategic location in the Mediterranean, Cyprus has been coveted by various external powers throughout its history, and thus it has played important roles in the events taking place around the Mediterranean and Middle East. One of these roles is the one which Cyprus played during the period of Armenian uprisings in Anatolia from 1878 to 1900, yet the role of Cyprus in the Armenian uprisings has been ignored until now. For this reason, the study aims to conduct research to investigate the role of Cyprus in the Armenian events at the end of the nineteenth century. Moreover, what makes this study interesting and attractive is the presence of British rule on the island during that period. Because the British rule, which began on the island in 1878, hosted Armenian rebels on the island during the Armenian events. Cyprus was used as a headquarters by the Armenians. Armenians who gathered in Cyprus to attack the Ottoman State supplied Armenian rebels in Anatolia and Syria with wea-pons and ammunition. This situation led to the emergence of a regional security concern.
