Summary/Abstract: The study is an attempt to present the link between globalization and regionalism. The author presented the problem of the consequence of globalization for the regional integration and positive and negative results of this proocess. In the second part of the study, the author concentrated on the processes of convergence and the polarisation of the development in the context of globalization. The study ends with synthetic conclusions.
