Summary/Abstract: Needs are part of the personality structure. Defensive mechanisms defend the ego and thanks to them humans overcome their fears. Everybody uses some defensive mechanisms which are more or less mature. The article shows essential connections between the defensive mechanisms and the needs of future educators.
