The issue of leadership in modern organization

Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article is an attempt to identify the issue of leadership in the management of modern organization. The author presents different conceptions of understanding of leadership in theory and practice of management, as a proof that there is no uniformity of views on the matter of the essence and the role of leadership. The next part of the paper discusses different types of leadership, focussing on charismatic leadership and democratic coordination.
