Summary/Abstract: The article, based on archival materials, analyzes the process of preparation for the release of Treasury plates of sample 1917, the so-called ‘kerenkies’. The author shows that the production of ‘kerenkies’ Provisional Government was launched in September 1917 and actively continued after his overthrow the new government. By issuing ‘kerenkies’ which were in circulation until 1922, the government attempted to weaken the negative processes in the Russian economy.
