Summary/Abstract: The article attempts to bring out selected social problems of contemporary Germany. It is based on materials published in “Süddeutsche Zeitung” and „Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung”. The author focuses on the discussion of such areas of life as: citizenship, educational system, integration, economic issues – earnings, taxes, wages, as well as matters connected with foreign workers and students.
