Summary/Abstract: Tashbih Sayyed, a Muslim and direct descendant of the Prophet Muhammad, criticizes the silence and sometimes open sympathies of a large number of Muslims for the terrorist actions of radical and fundamentalist Islamists and Wahabis. He clearly distances himself both from the terrorists and those who passively support it, concluding that the Prophet of Islam, Muhammad, cannot also be the prophet of terrorists.. Paul Mojzes supports Sayyed's position and states that those who insist that their religion must be respected must deserve it by their behavior and ideas rather than with mere demand that since they honor someone that others must honor them as well. Sayyed replied that Mojzes understood him correctly and that he did not wish to stereotype Muslims but that self-criticism is necessary and that Muslims must not hate non-Muslims but must reject extremism and terrorism.
