Summary/Abstract: This article is a discussion related to basic categories analyzed in monographic research of phenomenon of consensus written by Esad Zgodić and titled as Vladavina konsenzusom (Preporod, Sarajevo, 2006). Since consensus has significant axiological importance in political culture of contemporary societies it is important that modern political thought discusses controversial, multi-level and multidimensional political reality of consensual democracy. It is important to say that different status of consensual politics incorporated in political structures and practice of contemporary Euro-Atlantic states and societies, stimulate theoretical interest for their exploration in political, legal and sociological science. This study analyses phenomenon of consensus in two global frames – social and political, which implies sociological and political discourse. Together with Zgodić’s discussion of consensus, with application of this theoretical analysis to Bosnian social reality, this article includes synthesis of sociological, philosophical and political discourse, and it shapes terms and categories to construct coherent structure of ethno discourse of pseudo-scientific approach, as well as pseudo-political projections of consensus. This article pays special attention to sociological analysis of consensus as something close to cultural and social homogeneity based on strengthening solidarity, and that also includes wide range of activities, believes, interests and wishes for participation, by which members of one social community recognize each other and establish wide range of relations.
