Self-employment during the economic slowdown in Poland

Summary/Abstract: Self-employment is an alternative form of employment that belongs to the socalled atypical forms of employment benefits. It is for people who are not able to find employment or are unable to accept available jobs, with their professional aspirations. This is a particularly attractive way of functioning and earning during the economic downturn. The article presents the most important rules and concepts of self-employment in Poland, the advantages and disadvantages of this form of employment, as well as the status and dynamics. The statistical data allowed for the analysis of the phenomenon and checking how developed a number of self-employed during the economic slowdown.
