Network as an intermediate form of economic coordination on the example of integrated healthcare

Summary/Abstract: The purpose of this paper is to discuss the phenomena named network coordination. It can be seen as an intermediate – versus market and hierarchy – form of economic coordination. The background for the study is healthcare and one of its solutions called integrated healthcare. The paper consists of an introduction, three thematic parts devoted to particular mechanisms of economic adaptation, and a conclusion. The work has been conducted within the project financed by National Science Centre in Poland.
