Prospects and barriers to the development of spin-off companies in Poland

Summary/Abstract: Creating spin-offs as a result of academic entrepreneurship has been one of important topics for discussion in recent years. The main aim is to identify and analyze the determinants in the creation of companies such as spin-offs. An attempt has been made to define prospects and barriers to the development of spin-off companies. Due to the interdisciplinary nature of the problem it can be perceived in various ways. The publication is of an analytical-conceptual character and can constitute a contribution to the discussion on the issues and as the starting point for empirical research.
