Summary/Abstract: Less-developed and poorly functioning infrastructure can be one of the main barriers to economic revival of rural areas. Therefore, the problem of equipment in the main unit of economic infrastructure is very important. The work results allow to conclude that Subcarpathian Voivodeship has the best competitive position in terms of infrastructure development, among the five voivodeships of Eastern Polish and in the country. Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship takes place among the units with an average competitiveness while the other three voivodeships: Lubelskie, Podlaskie and Warmińsko-Mazurskie are ones of four voivodeships with the lowest competitiveness in the country.
