Summary/Abstract: Theofil Herkeľ Florin represents an exceptional personality of Slovak culture and social life in the 20th century. He was the secretary of Czechoslovak colony, editor, publisher and diplomat in the exile. He edited and published the monthly newspaper Nové Časy, he used to be an officer at the Czechoslovak embassy in Paris and Washington and was the personal secretary of Vladimir Clementis. He was unlawfully prisoned and retrieved. He was engaged in literal production and publishing activity.
