Summary/Abstract: Author of this paper makes a proposal of television genres categorization model, following concepts of two reputable theorists – Nick Lacey and Ib Bondebjerg. Necessity of reevaluation of their concepts is based on the contemporary reinforcement of genre hybridization and mutation, fully reflected in the reality TV genre group, which is located on the border between factual and fictional television genres.
