Summary/Abstract: The article “Profile of Contemporary Student of Journalism” was delivered at the International Academic Conference to commemorate the 55th Anniversary of the Department of Journalism at the Philosophical Faculty of Commenius University. The writer contemplates the motivation of students and the personal qualifications necessary to successful graduation and find positions in the field of media.
