Summary/Abstract: The existence of digital media has radically changed photography. Digitizing means a fundamental change for photography as image representing reality: the manufacture of photographical images has changed, any intervention is more easily to be done, and an image can originate even without the existence of a viewed subject. This leads to a loss of truthfulness of/in photography and poses the biggest problem in the field of journalism and news photography.
