Summary/Abstract: After the fall of Communism in 1989 a great number of Hungarian physicians and dentists immigrated in Hungary where the proportion of professionals from abroad is 7,66% among physicians and 9,20% among dentists. It is statistically proven that the overwhelming majority of these doctors came out of regions populated by ethnic Hungarians in the Carpathian Basin and the greatest share of them graduated in the University of Medicine and Pharmacy of Târgu Mureş.
