Summary/Abstract: Artistic creation, one of the most meaningful expressions of the sublimation process, was associated by Freud to the sublime, elevation and splendor. Creating, the artist moves away from the instinctual and succeeds to escape from his own sexual proclivities, discharging them through socially acceptable channels. In this perspective we will analyze the work of Romanian poet Nichita Stanescu (1933-1988) especially the cycle of 11 elegies, considered the height of his creative journey. His lyrics are imbued with the feminine, more of a female body, using concepts such as anatomical poetic concepts, anatomy being used both as a vocabulary like syntax. Thus, the woman appears in several hypostases, the pure woman, the woman muse, seductive women and especially women mother.
